A very good courtroom romance that centers around the of sexual assault by athletes on college campuses. And though it is a romance novel, KG MacGregor didn't push the issue of rape and administration's responsibilities into the background. The main characters, Theo and Celia was done well and with a good supporting cast, the story moved along at a very good pace. Worth Reading
This is a really enjoyable read by KG. I always enjoy her books.
While reading this book I realized in a very brief I had actually
Lived this, not myself but my daughter. She attended one of the
Universities mentioned in this book. Her Freshman year , she went out with a guy who later broke up with her, this same young man later went on to date another female, she later accused him of using the date rape drug and raping her. she never pressed charges, now I know why. This young man was " taken care of " and is in the United States Navy today. Thank you , more than A very good love story, this book takes the news from today's news headlines and gives it right to the reader. This is everyone's issue. Good fascinating read. Unfortunately still fact on campuses today.
I love this writer! A good writer draws you into the story, makes you a part of it. You become those characters, makes you think about the story, the issues and maybe if you are in a situation that you can turn or help others, do it. Even though the first step is always the hardest; we never know what we can do unless we try.
This kind of abuse should be taken to highest court and all of those involved should be held accountable across all state lines even internationally.
Even though this story is fiction, this story will stay on my mind long after I close the back cover and I'm happy it will because it says it means something to me.
Great story and I recommend anybody to read this story regardless of gender or sexual preference.

This novel hit a topic of concern in the real world of college campus. Date rape, gang rape, or just rape in general. Not only does it take on the male players of high profile sports teams, but their coaches, administration, campus security, board of trustees, and local law enforcement. It provides a tally of how many woman on campuses across our country who have been a victim and never reported it or did and were shot down by one of the controlling entities. Theo Constantine and Celia Perone are two strong women and pull for the rights of the victims. This was a sad story, but a dynamic one also. I couldn't stop reading.
